چکیده

The effects of soil continuous cultivation and texture on some its properties, electrical conductivity, total porosity, calcium carbonate content penetration resistance. Six samples material for a layer 0-30 cm were collected from three different sites are Clay, Loam Loamy Sand in Basra Governorate Abi al-Khasib, Karma Zubair. Three these represented the treatment cultivation, planted with alfalfa crop (Medicago sativa) 7 consecutive years, other same uncultivated replications each sample. results showed decrease values carbonate, resistance, an increase porosity cultivated soils. lowest EC 4.1, 5.3 6.2 dS. m-1 soils textures sand, respectively, CaCO3 182.3 g. kg-1 266.7 310 Clay soils, resistance to 550 KN.m-1 clay While it was 620 KN.m-1, 714 loam loamy sand soil, compared soil. increased 43%, 48.53% 53.4%, And average weighted diameter 0.2537 mm, 0.2817 0.3640 respectively.

Effect of 10-year continuous saffron cultivation on physical and chemical properties of soil

The effect of 10-year continuous saffron cultivation on physical and chemical properties of a silty clay loam soil was investigated in a research farm of College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz (52 º 33ʹ E Longitude and 29º 36ʹ N latitude), Iran. This farm was irrigated with different regimes (100% of saffron's potential evapotranspiration (ETp), 75%ETp, 50%ETp) including rain fed tre...
